Excellent… so would jahõha be how we would say that we ate?
Hmm.
Årra tele jahÅha;
I had some food./I [ate] food.
Yes, I suppose.
If you want to specify what you ate, though, you wouldn’t need jahÅha. You could just say:
Årra tele japÄ“Å‹Å‹i;
I had potatoes/I [ate] potatoes.
Or, if you are emphasizing the food:
Årra ñi japÄ“Å‹Å‹i jajÄ«lni;
The potatoes were eaten.
Årra ñi jahÅha jajÄ«lne;
The food was eaten.
Thanks! I think I can sit down and write about Thanksgiving now 🙂 (When I get the time….)
