1. When’s it going to be summer? We’re heading into winter in California, after all.

2. You do know that the seasons are opposite down here, yes? This is the tail end of winter, heading into spring and summer.

3. I thought he meant that winter was coming early to California….

   Here on the E.C. trees are losing their leaves a bit early, and with the punishing heat and near-drought one can’t help thinking they’re doing it for the wrong reasons.

4. Oh, I should say that I basically recognize three seasons: pre-summer, summer and post-summer. Right now we’re in post-summer.

5. Well, here it is officially Spring (since Sep 1), but it’s not yet past the equinox, so….
